One thing to add that I see didn’t make the description – The white ball 🙂 next to the tire cover are real sheep skin seat covers that I bought ($650 from sheepskin express) but never put on because I wanted to show the condition of the seats.
Please note that the RESERVE HAS BEEN MET now and will go to the highest bidder.
As a reminder to everyone, this vehicle has a reserve price set. If you bid below the reserve, you can continue to bid “against yourself” to raise your bid. We also do things slightly different here (taken directly from our blog post today): Our bidding, as it relates to reserves, is different than others though. Unlike others, we protect the buyer’s best interest by preventing them from overpaying. For example, assume that we have a very nice no-rust low mileage manual Discovery (sounds good right?). Assume the reserve price is set at $15,000…and the current bid is $10,000. Now assume… Read more »
SD admins: is there a way to keep the messages sorted by NEWEST all the time? Mine seems to default to OLDEST at top.
not specifically at the Member level, but we have received several requests for this, so a change has been made now site wide. Refresh your browser, you should see it now default to the “NEWEST” messages.
@ROVERPEK : that really is a small world, how was the RRC when you had it? any issues? Maybe irrelevant of course now but just curious. Never having owned one but lusted after them for some time now. I personally prefer the SWB, just seems like the proportions are better.
It was great. I purchased it with an overheated engine. Had it sorted. Didn’t have any issues with it while I
owned it, which wasn’t long. I sold it because I was moving to a location where garage space was limited. Regretted it ever since. I almost purchased it back from the guy I sold it too but wasn’t in the position to do so at the time.
Has the A/C been converted to R134?
It’s the original unit as far as I know. Works, fan blows – just not cold. I was told it was a stuck valve by a RRC mechanic.
Thanks for the reply. I actually owned this RRC in Arizona. I’m the one that had the engine rebuild done at Inland Rovers.
Wow small world! Thanks for taking such great care. What do you own now?
1992 Defender 110.
I think I remember Greg saying that he sorted the heater core. Can you confirm?
Nice! Correct. He did quite a bit of work on it. Documented everything.
