Key Features: low mileage collector quality F430, last of the great mid-engine manuals
The Ferrari F430 first debuted at the Paris Motor Show in 2004, and that next summer it would hit the U.S. roads after a much anticipated wait as is with all new Ferrari models. Designed by Pininfarina, under the guidance of Frank Stephenson, the body styling of the F430 was revised from its predecessor, the Ferrari 360, to improve its aerodynamic efficiency. Although the drag coefficient remained the same, downforce was greatly enhanced. Despite sharing the same basic Alcoa Aluminium chassis, roof line, doors and glass, the car looked significantly different from the 360. A great deal of Ferrari heritage was included in the exterior design. At the rear, the Enzo’s tail lights and interior vents were added. The car’s name was etched into the Testarossa-styled driver’s side mirror. The large oval openings in the front bumper are reminiscent of Ferrari racing models from the 60s, specifically the 156 “sharknose” Formula One car and 250 TR61 Le Mans cars of Phil Hill. Mostly, we will remember the F430 as the first Ferrari to put an end to timing belts, and the last Ferrari to place the engine in the middle of the car with a gated manual gearbox.
Second Daily is proud to present this collector quality 2005 Ferrari F430 with only 6900 miles with the very rare 6-speed gated manual. It was the first year of the F430 for the States, and one of the last manual Ferraris ever made. In addition to the desirable transmission choice, it is optioned with power Daytona seats with contrasting white stiching, leather headliner, hi-fi sound, red calipers, shields, and the carbon fiber package made available in late MY 2005 cars. This 430 was originally owned by a collector and kept his F40 company in heated climate controlled storage. It is located in New York and will convey with two keys, books, and a clean clear title in the seller’s name.
Outside this F430 the corsa red presents as new, no visible flaws can be seen anywhere around the car. All the panel gaps are perfect, as are the seals and glass all around. The factory 19″ staggered OEM 5/2 spokes show no signs of abuse, the optioned red painted calipers sit atop cross-drilled rotors behind.
The interior presents as new, the optional carbon trim package is in as new condition. The leather headliner above shows no flaws. The Daytona seats show no signs of wear, neither do the stainless door sills. The contrasting white stitching is bright with no signs of discoloration. New owners had a few choices of tach color facing, the original owner of this F430 choose red and matching piping on the carpeted floor mats.
Absolutely no modifications from original are present.
All maintenance is reportedly up to date.
Ferrari doesn’t make a bad car, it’s just that simple. Yes, some are more prized in the market place than others. Some receive a little more rousting than others. Ultimately, it’s a Ferrari, and that will always be the moniker of want, desire, performance and refined elegance all-in-one. There is still much debate as to exactly how many F430’s were produced, and even more so, how many of them were manual transmissions. Very generally speaking from all of the chatter in the Ferrari communities, I don’t think we are too far off saying that approximately 600 F430’s are believed to have been produced with the manual transmission. It should not take too many fingers to count how many of those have less than 7k miles on the clock. Register to bid now on this highly collectible Ferrari F430.
