Beautiful looking car, but “ever-reliable M62” got a chuckle out of me. The M62 is probably one of BMW’s most infamous engines for major issues. Has this vehicle had its timing chain guides and tensioner serviced? With its mileage, it’s right about due for it. I am also curious about oil leaks, especially around the rear main seal and valve cover gaskets. Hi there! Seller here. Thanks for the comments. The 4.4L M62B44 was a very solid engine from BMW, utilizing the Alusil block that replaced pre mid-1995 Nikasil block in the 4.0L M60B40s. Slightly more torque with better fuel economy. I’ve had zero issues with this engine and with the right enthusiast taking care of it, it will last a very, very long time.This car has no visible leaks from the top end or bottom. I’ll get a camera in there and under to update with some pictures. The timing chain guides and tensioner have not been serviced yet. Thanks again!
